Week 8 doesn’t wait for the late window. Two of the biggest games of the weekend kick off at the same time Sunday afternoon, with 6-0 Minnesota in Detroit and Baltimore in Buffalo. Fanatics Sportsbook is offering new users promo code FOXNEWS350 to bet $20 and get $350 in FanCash on either game or anything else on the NFL board.
The Vikings are the NFL’s last unbeaten team, and they’re still getting points. That says a lot about how the market views Detroit at home, even though the results haven’t backed it up. The Lions are 1-4-1 against the spread this year and 0-2-1 ATS at Ford Field. Minnesota, meanwhile, has covered all three of its road games.
The key question is tempo. Detroit’s games have gone over five times in six tries. Minnesota’s have gone under five times in six. The Lions want to lean on Jahmyr Gibbs and get into a shootout, while the Vikings have won by keeping games tight. Detroit also gets safety Brian Branch back, which helps a secondary that’s been leaky.

Everything in this game runs through one injury report. Lamar Jackson is questionable, and the spread has moved past the field goal to Bills -3.5 while Baltimore waits on an answer. If Jackson plays, this is the best quarterback matchup of the season so far. If he doesn’t, Buffalo’s edge grows fast.
The Bills come off a bye with an offense that’s scored 23 touchdowns, second-most in the league. Josh Allen and James Cook have been as reliable a pairing as there is. Baltimore still has Derrick Henry to grind out drives, but 60 penalties through seven games is the kind of number that loses close games on the road. The 53.5 total tells you the books expect points either way.
