Tuesday is one of the busiest nights of the NHL week, with 11 games on the schedule and a 7:30 p.m. ET headliner in Newark. Edmonton visits New Jersey, and the spotlight falls squarely on Leon Draisaitl. Underdog is offering new users promo code FOXNEWS to play $10 and get $50 in bonus entries on any game tonight.
This game comes down to the best offensive duo in hockey against one of the best goalies in the world. Hellebuyck has been excellent early in his Devils tenure, going 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage. Edmonton counters with Tristan Jarry, who is 4-1-2 with two shutouts but just a .901 save percentage.
That gap in net is why New Jersey is favored at home. It’s also why the Oilers are interesting at plus money. Edmonton doesn’t need many chances to score, and few teams can match the speed and skill McDavid and Draisaitl bring to the top of the lineup. The Devils won the last meeting 2-1 in January, and the total sits at 6.5 with the under juiced at -125, so the books expect another tight one.
For pick’em, McDavid is the starting point. His point line is the safest way to get exposure to Edmonton’s offense, and even a quiet night for the Oilers usually runs through him. On the other side, Hellebuyck’s saves line is worth a look. If Edmonton controls the puck the way it usually does, he’ll be busy.
