The international games continue today with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints squaring off in France. The two teams are on very different trajectories with the Steelers coming into the game with a 4-2 record. The Saints are sitting at 2-4 for the season and have dropped a few close games.
Pittsburgh is looking like one of the better teams in the league. Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy reuniting seems to have worked out, but there are still questions about just how good this team is. Their two losses were to the Patriots and Browns, and both were on the road. They did beat their foes, the Bengals, and they came back from down big to beat the Buccaneers last week.
The New Orleans Saints have not been able to put together a consistent offense for the entirety of a game. They show flashes of being great, and other moments where they struggle significantly. They lost their first game of the season to the Lions, but the 4th quarter was successful, getting them back in the game before they lost in overtime. They dropped three straight games to the Raiders, Falcons, and Vikings. They looked okay in most of those, but the defense also gave up a total of 103 points in those three games.
Now the teams head to Paris to face each other. Will the Saints have an answer on defense, and can their offense be more effective than just one or two quarters? Will the Steelers road woes stay in America or come with them to France?
