Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. has been dismissed from the team after being arrested for the second time in a year, coach Kalen DeBoer said Tuesday.
Kirkpatrick was arrested Friday on charges related to allegedly harassing and doxxing the University of Alabama police officer who arrested him in 2025. According to police documents obtained by The Athletic, Kirkpatrick allegedly sent the officer a harassing message and posted a photo of the officer, his wife and their two children on Facebook with the caption “Dis him?”
“After gathering more information on the situation, Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. will no longer be a part of our program,” DeBoer said in a statement. “He did not live up to the standards and expectations that I have set for this team and our players.”
