NBA Cup Friday is back with nine Group Play games, two reunion storylines and a stacked West Coast window. With every team limited to four group games, stars are playing like each one matters, because it does. Betr is offering new users promo code FOXNEWS to get $200 in bonuses plus four free picks for tonight’s NBA Cup slate.
Trae Young assists (higher) | Wizards at Hawks, 7:00 p.m. ET
The first reunion of the night tips early. Young returns to Atlanta, where he spent his entire career before landing in Washington alongside Anthony Davis. Players in revenge spots tend to dominate the ball, and Young running the show against his old team in an East Group C game should mean plenty of chances to rack up assists. Davis gives him a reliable finisher to find inside.
Donovan Mitchell points (higher) | 76ers at Cavaliers, 7:30 p.m. ET
Most of the attention in Cleveland will go to LeBron James’ return, which is exactly why Mitchell is the play. The Cavs are in East Group B, the toughest group in the tournament, alongside the defending champion Knicks, Miami and Indiana. With James Harden setting the table, Mitchell gets to work off the ball and attack a Sixers defense that will be locked in on LeBron’s matchup.
Cooper Flagg points (higher) | Jazz at Mavericks, 8:00 p.m. ET
The reigning Rookie of the Year has a much bigger role in Year 2, and Dallas needs to bank home wins in a West Group A that includes Denver and Houston. Utah is one of the friendlier matchups on the board, and Flagg should have plenty of room to attack.
Kawhi Leonard points (higher) | Raptors at Bucks, 8:00 p.m. ET
Leonard leads a well-balanced Toronto team into Milwaukee in East Group A. He’s still one of the most efficient scorers in the league when he’s healthy, and road games in a group with no clear favorite are where veterans like Leonard tend to take over late.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and a short-handed Thunder team visit Memphis at 8 p.m. ET, while Luka Dončić’s Lakers host Portland and Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs visit Sacramento in the 10 p.m. ET window.
